Deaths' Servant Part One
The Birth Of Deaths' Servant
There was once a Farmers' House Wife, who loved her husband dearly. She loved him that much that, one day when her husband died at a young age in the crop fields, she serf out to find Death so that he could give her husband back.
She searched and searched for him and came across many Grim Reapers, but to no avail, until she came across a Shinigami, a Japanese Grim Reaper, who traded Deaths' location for the best and juciest apples the House Wife had growing on her apple tree. Which she was more than glad to oblige to.
When she finally found Death she begged him to return her husbands' life to him offering anything in exchange. Death then proposed a deal, that in exchange for rerunning her husbands' life to him, that she would give the first born child she had after his life was restored. The Wife agreed without a second thought, however the Wife was cautious and asked what would happen if she should disobey their contract. Death replied by telling her that he shall take all of their lives!
Nodding to show that she knew her place she signed his contract. He then hammered a pair of long silver nails into her ear lobes as proof that they had made a contract. He then told her that they will come out when the price of the contract was met and with that they parted ways.
When the Wife returned she found her husband alive and well as if he had never died at all, she was overwhelmed with happiness and rejoiced. They then spent their first night together celebrating his return to life. On that night their first child was conceived.
When the Wife found out she was pregnant she was glad at first, but fear replaced her joy. Fear of what her husband might think about what she did to resurrect him, fear of getting attached to the child, fear of what will happen to it when she handed the child over to Death, but what feared her the most was what should happen to them if she should disobey her contract.
Within half a month of finding out she was pregnant she told her husband the whole truth and left no detail out. He too was frightened, but not just for the safety of their child but he was even more frightened by Death. He did not want to die yet, not when he had just come back from the dead! So they decided, as a couple, to let Death have his way and hand their child over to him and pray that no harm will come to it.
So when the child was born the Wife felt a sting in her heart for they gave birth to a baby girl and the Wife had always wanted a girl to help her do the housework but she knew better and she had made a deal, so the Wife set out to find Death and gave him the girl reluctantly.
Seeing that the terms had been met, he took the nails out of her earlobes and cleaned them. He then placed the child down on the grass and took a hammer and hammered the Wifes' nails into the earlobes of her daughter! The Wife looked away but spotting that the child continued to sleep she frowned. Was the nails not hurting her?
"Do not fear for your daughter, I will never touch her to harm her. She has become my servant and I will do all to protect her until she can defend herself then she shall serve me until Kingdom come. I will grant you what I shall name her, she shall be named Bellamort Resurrect. Now you can leave and I will pursue you not, until your time comes and I will come for your husband on that day also. So, for now, farewell."
With that he left.
The Wife and her husband then gave birth to another child, a baby boy but before they could name him they mysteriously died. The villagers could not place why the farmer and his wife died but they were more concerned with their son, who lay crying. A woman took the child and called him Jack for she chose to raise the child and gave him her surname Immortal.
Although they would never know how ironic that was, nor why his parents really died, for it was Death himself that had taken their lives, for he did not want anyone to think that they can do what the Wife did and get away with it.
