Bounty Hunter Bash Unlocked Part Four
Journey To The Ocean
It did not take them long to find out that Gajellidor and Grasharlo were going to take a shop to Death by Sea. Bash and Chashathrophogh looked at each other nervously. Meanwhile Cerpheres licked his lips with misty eyes as everyone suddenly felt naked in his view.
“Ahh…That’s where we met all those years ago!” He spoke with a whine and put in sorrow. “I was tailing a very great person which- oh! Oh! Was starting to decline in his greatness. But then I saw these beauties and I knew that they would be just so- so! So great that I had to tail them. And-” he licked his lips aggressively. “I was so right!”
“That was only three years ago!” Snapped Chashathrophogh as he punched him.
“Ahhhh! Aaas I said all those years ago!”
“And stop making those sounds! I may be eighteen in only a few weeks, but Strena is still fifteen at most!” Bash snapped as she punched him in the gut, causing him to hit the ground in pure bliss.
He let out a sigh.
“Alright then!”
“Ladies, time to set off!”
“Right!”
Soon they walked on and took a public carriage. Which was made of plane and exposed wood, with haystacks serving as seats. Yet they all knew that they would have to hurry. As they felt the frustration build as they arrived at each and every stop. Yet they forced themselves to be calm as each minute ticked by, they felt that frustration build and build until they could no longer stand it.
Then they saw horses for sale on the thirteenth stop. They soon got off and bought them. Then they all galloped on, getting faster and faster and faster. Then they kept their eyes on the horizon until they were half way there and the horses saw a large body of water and galloped to the lake. They galloped faster and faster and faster.
They looked down to see the blue and green fur. Yet it became slimy.
Leonardo tried to get off only to find that his body was glued in place.
“Kelpie!” He shouted.
“Obviously!”
“Zarry!”
“Kill them! It’s the only way to stop them drowning us!”
“What!”
Quickly, Zaryb yanked the head up and pushed the neck down and the snout up. The next moment Zaryb crashed into the ground. He then used the momentum to roll up and dove over the kelpie corpse.
Immediately, the rest looked down. Bash, Chashathrophogh and Strena sent out a blast into the creature and soon they were on the ground. Cerpheres slammed the head down and the head hit the rock on the ground causing grey-matter to fall. He then put his hand out and flipped his feet back and rose up on grace.
“That’s easy for you! I don’t have-”
Strena hit the head and neck. Suddenly he was thrown up in the air and Cerpheres caught him.
“What was that deary?”
“Please put me down!”
“Make me!”
Quickly Leonardo punched him. He felt his arm tense up slightly and then relaxed.
"What was that for?” He moaned.
“It seems like the best way to get you off me.”
“Gooood!” He sang, dropping him as he leaned in close. “You’re learning!”
He scrambled up before he could do anything.
“Cerpheres! We do not have time for your antics!” Bash and Chashathrophogh snapped.
“There you go again!”
“Cerpheres!”
“Coming!”
They then had to break out into a light jog as they knew that they had to conserve as much energy as they possibly could. Yet, Strena narrowed her eyes
“Why are we going so slow?”
“Because they’re not there yet.”
“How come?”
“Who do you think sold us those kelpies?”
“Oh!”
So they kept jogging for over an hour until they came to a crossroad. They turned to the left and kept going until they came to another crossroad. This made Chashathrophogh frown and looked down and took out the map. He looked up and they ran ahead. They followed and they came to another crossroad. He looked around and let out a huff.
“What is it, Uncle Chashathrophogh?”
“Thought we didn’t have time for this!”
Yet he was not paying attention to them. He was looking at the rosebush to the right.
“Stay here!” He said as he ran on. As they saw him run on and on, Bash frowned. His footsteps echoed away.
“What was that all about?”
“I don’t-”
Then they heard the echoing of footsteps running.
“What is that?”
“Is that them?”
Quickly Bash pulled out her bow and loaded it, only to see none other than Chashathrophogh! They all looked at him.
“Who are you?”
“It’s me. Your dear Uncle!”
She nodded.
“What? How?”
“Grasharlo must have cast a loop spell.”
“What?”
“How are we going to get out of here?”
“Simple, find the exit hole.”
“Then why don’t we run back?”
That was when Strena ran towards them from the opposite direction from Chashathrophogh.
“Looks like going back is a bust!” She huffed.
They nodded.
“What!”
“Then where and how is the way out?”
“Which is the way that will lead to a longer path?” Bash asked.
Chashathrophogh looked down to the map and looked to the right.
“That way.”
So they run down that road and soon they were able to come to a river.
“Now what?”
He looked down and then the river.
He ran to a man with a boat.
“Here's sir!” He said, giving him a lump of ruby coins and taking a large canoe. “Come on!”
They got into the canoe and rowed and rowed and rowed as fast as they could. They soon became faster and faster and faster. Soon they were going too fast. That was when the current became faster and faster too. That was when they looked back to see why.
They could see the waterfall was long and the water below was fast but very low.
“Why don’t we use our magic to protect us?” Cerpheres asked.
So they did and then they had a soft landing and they kept rowing and rowing until they saw another. They did this again and again and again. Soon they felt the strain as they continued to protect themselves from each and every waterfall until the strain started to get too much for them and they knew that they had to take a break at a river bank.
There they ate a quick lunch. Chashathrophogh took out a pipe and started to smoke it for a moment. He let out an involuntary cough.
“Oh! So we’re closer than we were.” He commented.
“What?”
“It’s just down this road!” He replied as he coughed again and he looked at the pipe and winced.
“By the way, when did you start smoking?”
“Just now. I heard good things about it so why -”
At that moment Cerpheres pulled it out and threw it in the river.
“You know I heard it was actually bad for you!”
He rolled his eyes. Then they were only just able to finish lunch before they ran to the doc and were only just in time to be the last to doc the ship.
