Strena The Dark Gods Final Part
The False God Of Revelation
They soon came to another village. They saw three women in the street. They were thin and gaunt. Their bodies were trembling as their muscles showed that they had thin and weak muscles. Their hair was thin and knotted. Their eyes were so deeply sunken that Strena could clearly see their skull.
She walked up to one of them.
“Are you alright?” She asked.
Her head was barely able to rise and her eyes could barely look up. That was when Cerpheres walked up to her and spoke in a different language. She understood and smiled weakly. She nodded and replied in that language.
“Yes. She says that they are waiting for their husbands to come and feed them. According to Faprolia, the god of prophecy.”
She nodded.
“And how long did she say that?”
He asked and she replied.
“Two and a half years ago.”
“Then why doesn’t she just go home to eat? She clearly needs it!”
He repeated her words and she replied.
“She says that if she leaves this spot, then she shall surely miss him. As for food, Faprolia told her that the first to feed her is the one she is to marry.”
At this she frowned as she looked at the other women.
“Is that the same for the other women too?”
He asked and she replied.
“Yes.”
“But they’re going to die if they stay here like this!”
He explained. She shook her head and spoke.
“She believes that you are here to test her faith.”
She nodded, trying not to show her alarm.
“But she needs to eat something!”
He took her hand and pulled her away. That was when she saw a little girl being thrown out of her house. She was no older than when her parents were killed! At this she ran to her.
“What’s going on?”
Her mother replied.
“Faprolia says that the child will get in the way of her riches. Do she must get rid of her.”
“What! Does she not love her?”
He asked, she replied.
“Yes, I do. But she will get in the way of my destiny.”
“But who will look after her?”
She shrugged.
“She will.”
At this the girl burst into tears. Strena felt anger flare up and she slapped her. She looked at her, shocked.
“No child can do that!”
She spoke and shut the door as the child wept and wept. Strena hugged her and then looked at Cerpheres.
“Ask her if she has a father.”
Cerpheres placed a hand on the girl’s cheek. He spoke gently to her and she shook her head. She spoke to him.
“He left to get a new wife. Faprolia told him that she was getting in the way. So he left and remarried a witch and died.”
“What do we do with her?”
“Kill her?”
At this she looked at him with horror.
“No! We can’t do that! I think that we will just have to find someone who will take her in. Then we will kill this Faprolia.”
“And how will we get to him?”
“We will go to him and ask for a prophecy along with everyone else.”
He smirked and nodded. They gathered the rest. Then they left the girl with Leonardo and then they arrived at what looked to be a mansion made of straw and wood. Then they walked in.
Inside was a man that had a feminine form. His off white hair reached to the floor and his eyes were as black as night.
“I would like you to tell us all what is going to happen.”
His head moved down and turned off white.
“You Cerpheres will drown in a large sea,
Yet you will leave your body free.”
At this his eyebrow were raised.
He turned to Chashathrophogh.
“Death will come and be your friend,
And soon your life will end.”
At this, Cerpheres’s frowned depended as he took a glance at him in doubt.
Then he turned to Zaryb.
“Zaryb, for your family you shall die,
Their eyes will be completely dry.”
Cerpheres bit his lip as he turned to Leonardo.
“Your art and company you should abandon,
Marriage to a princess of afar and be called Prince Leonardo!”
He rolled his eyes and narrowed his eyes. Then he turned to Bash.
“Princess Drew, marry the choice of your mother,
Do not avenge your father and brother,
Great wealth will lay ahead,
Old and grey before dead,
And never worry about another,
Do not take this one as a lover!”
At this, Bash looked at him as if she was going to murder him right there and then.
That was when he turned to Strena.
“Princess Arielsa bright you bloom,
Death comes closer by the hour.”
At this Cerpheres let out a chuckle.
“Do you not believe us?”
“Not, one, bit!” He sang as he charged on then pulled out a blade like Orion and stabbed the foot. At this he cried out. Leading to Cerpheres to smile.
“Sooo it is one of Phorap The Mad’s blade!”
“What?”
“Took it from the last village!”
“What?”
That was when he let out a sigh.
“Now, I have something that needs addressing and I think that I will use you to satisfy that itch.” He moaned as he pulled it out.
At this all but Strena looked at him with pale faces.
“And you look like a very good bone!” He spoke oppressively.
Then he was kicked across the room. Then he flicked out his feet beneath him and moaned as he dived off the wall.
“That was a good kick!” He groaned as he dived at him.
That was when he saw the foot coming at him. He flicked the blade to the side. This cut a line in the center before he was hit. He spun and hit another wall and dived off it and spun as he flicked the blade out. Soon more was cut in half. As he was slapped to the ground.
“Cerpheres!” Strena called.
Yet the man let out a laugh as he flipped onto his feet. Then he spotted a foot coming down upon him. He stabbed up and drove it down. The foot retracted from him.
Strena went to run at him but Chashathrophogh placed a hand upon her shoulder. This held her back as the tip rose up and sliced the top of the foot. Then was pushed out as he licked his lips.
“Yes! Go for it! Hit me harder!”
“Urm…Mr Chashathrophogh, what am I watching?”
“Don’t ask!”
“Shut up will you? I’m watching. Or I will make you kill that poor, poor little girl that was crying. Good way of putting her out of her misery!”
Strena kept quiet.
Faprolia curled his lip as he pulled his foot up and flicked him off and he soon bounced off the wall. Then he punched the man and he hit the ground and rolled. Soon a foot slammed to he was. He went to slash up only for the foot to stop and he kicked to the other way.
“Is that hard enough for you, pervert?”
At this he let out a laugh. Then he dived back up and looked at him with a wicked glee.
“More!” He yelled as blood came out from his nose.
He ran on and then he saw the foot and flicked his blade out and to the left. Then the foot from the big toe to the middle toe and side of the foot fell off. This caused him to fall with a thud causing tremors leading his worshippers to fall. He hit his head on the wall.
“Ooph! Loose your balance?”
He tried to get up but the moment he tried to put his weight on it he fell. He tried to do this again and again and again. Yet, as he did this, Cerpheres slowly walked to the other foot.
“Think I should do the same to this foot!” He purred as he slashed the blade up. That was when he was hit by the side of the other foot. He then flicked his blade back, taking chunks out of the foot as he laughed and laughed as he roared and roared pain. Then he jumped up and drove the blade down.
Then Faprolia hit him with the stump. At this he gripped the blade and was dragged back. Soon the quarter of the other foot fell. Soon he was brought to his knees.
“Yes! That’s it! That’s hitting the spot!” He exclaimed as he laughed as he climbed up and stabbed the spine as he ran up the back and reached the head. He pulled the blade back and stabbed the back of the head.
“That was easy.” He panted as he jumped up and landed. “But it hit the spot!”
That was when Bash came in with a book.
“And for good reason.”
“Aaaand thaaat iiis?”
“None of the gods or goddesses that we have been facing are gods or goddesses!”
“And what are they?”
“Demons.”
“What!”
“Really! How interesting!”
“They are?”
“Non ci credo!”
“Here!”
They read it as Cerpheres licked his lips.
“Well that is interesting!”
Leonardo shook his head.
“Non ci credo!” He repeated.
✴️
After this was passed out and people realized that their prophecies were all false, husbands divorced the wives that Faprolia told them to take and returned to their original wives. Yet these new wives turned out to be evil witches that only wanted these men to take all that belonged to the husbands. So they all were executed.
The mother took her daughter back with tears in their eyes. Yet even though she apologized in her native tongue, the damage was done. The poor little girl would grow up with insecurities that only came to an end when she became a mother with a fiercely loyal husband.
Yet when they left the village, they saw the three women on the road. Their bodies unmoving as the sand blew over them. They were not breathing and died still believing that their husbands would come to give them their first meal, that would have also killed them.
Strena could not help but feel sorry for those women who they were too late to save…
