Bounty Hunter Bash Isle Heat Lock Part Seven

 The Cave Underwater

The first thing that both Bash and Chashathrophogh were grateful for was the break from the intense heat.

“Oh my! Are you smiling?”

Chashathrophogh rolled his eyes.

“What?”

Cerpheres smiled lazily as he looked away.

“You know, you could attract more women if you just smiled more!”

At this he growled.

“Same goes for Bashy!”

This caused them both to growl. He raised both his hands and shrugged.

“What! I’m just saying!”

“Well, for one thing, we are here to fight both Gajellidor Darcrogh and Grasharlo, so we don’t have time for that. And for another, she is going to be taken if we don’t take care of King Skipher or the moment she turns eighteen if Wolfox is out of her.”

“I know, I know!”

“Who’s that my pet?” Asked an aged man. “Seems like people! But that doesn’t make any sense! There have never been people here for ever and ever…”

That was when the old man walked out. He had black hair and steel grey streaks. He had maddened wild grey eyes.

“Ahh! So there is people here!”

“Who are you?”

“Guy, I think!”

Chashathrophogh and Bash narrowed their eyes.

“You think or you know?”

“I think and I know! Unless it’s Digh…” He muttered, frowning.

At this they rolled their eyes.

Just what we need, another weirdo.

“Alright Guy Digh! How long have you been here?”

“One year…two years…maybe more petties!”

“Yeah! I think that it was over three years! We may look but we can’t find our exit point.”

“Does he know that he’s…”

“I don’t know.”

“Why is he talking to himself? Does he have a demon inside him too?”

“No. I just think that he’s gone completely insane.”

“Oh good!”

Strena knotted her eyebrows.

“If he’s only just crazy than having a demon inside of you.”

“Oh.”

“Wouldn’t be too sure if I were you. I heard crazy people can be quite the danger!”

“Speak for yourself and get away from here! Now!”

Cerpheres placed a hand on her shoulder with a challenging look in his eyes.

“Make me!”

At this Chashathrophogh pulled out a blade. Cerpheres licked his lip. The man curled his lip and put it away. At this his face dropped as he let out a huff. Not wanting to entertain Cerpheres further, he turned to Guy.

“Do you want to get out of here?”

His face brightened up.

“Yes!”

“About time!”

“Then Cerpheres, lead the way.”

“Alright! Hey! Maybe we can work on some violin lessons!”

Strena smiled.

So they both took out their violins and started playing. That was when Guy put up his finger.

“Ah ha! I know this song! Ahhh, yes! I remember now! The song went by- urm anyone got a light?”

Bash and Chashathrophogh spread out their hands and lit a ball of fire.

“Alright.”

“I fight,

The light,

Scream oh night

Let the crows hear your song,

Tell us the place of the wrong,

I melt the rust of death,

Plea of the very last breath!”

“I sing,

I sing!”

“Life is short,

Death is long,

Once I retort,

Listen to my tongue,

Seconds tick by,

Hours are lost,

Look at the sky,

At thine own cost,

Life never will last.”

“Spark,

Oh shark,

Bring on the dash,

Smell the blood on the air,

Where the prey will lack,

Nature will take it’s course there!”

“I smell,

I smell!

“Life is short,

Death is long,

Once I retort,

Listen to my tongue,

Seconds tick by,

Hours are lost,

Look at the sky,

At thine own cost,

Life never will last.”

“You love once,

And only once,

So why waste your life,

On your own silly strife!”

“I hear,

I hear!”

“Life is short,

Death is long,

Once I retort,

Listen to my tongue,

Seconds tick by,

Hours are lost,

Look at the sky,

At thine own cost,

Life never will last.”

“Where did you hear that?”

“A man came by once. He sang and sang it. I think!”

He narrowed his eyes.

“Who was it?”

He shrugged.

“I dunno! He never said. Although he looked just like you but with jet black hair that shone blue in the light and crimson eyes! He was rather pretty, thought he was a woman until I noticed his body and flat chest!”

All of them widened their eyes as they looked at him.

“Do you like him, pet?”

Chashathrophogh walked directly up to him.

“Do you know where he is?”

“Oooh no! Although he said something about going further to the east. Did he say where, pet?”

“No. No he didn’t.”

He nodded.

Yet Cerpheres took a glance at him. But then he noticed that he was looking at Strena, almost like he was nostalgic for something.

“Now, time to get faster.”

She nodded.

“Urm, right.”

So they walked on and on and they continued their lessons. So when they could feel that it was right, Strena was able to go faster than the morning.

So they ate their fill and took a quick break for a nap to get over their lack of sleep. Yet then Bash saw the old man above her with a knife. He dived down and she rolled out of the way. She looked up to see none other than Dark Lord Gajellidor Darcrogh!

“What?”

That was when she saw his fire ball and he threw it at her. She dived out of the way. Then she saw more to a point that she had to block them as one almost hit her. She used her magic to cool it before her clothes could catch fire. Then she saw three. She stopped one after the other. Then she saw a wall of ice stakes. She quickly melted them as fast as she could.

That was when a slab of stone pushed through the wall of fire. Quickly she ducked out of the way.

She opened her mouth to wake the others only to feel pain in her shoulder. She tried to cry out in pain only for nothing to come out of her mouth. She looked around to see that the rest were all asleep before she felt pain in her left thigh. She looked down to see a rock stake in the center. She used her power to block the next wave. That was when she whipped out her bow and fired. Yet when the fire cleared she saw that he held her arrow.

Her eyes widened for a moment. Yet she quickly fired at him and he caught that one. She quickly fired another one and another one and another one. He stopped all of them in mid air. He cocked his eyebrow. Then the head turned to Chashathrophogh! He flicked it at him. She fired at the head then used her magic to push it on and the arrow broke. The ends dug in the ground at both sides of his head.

She looked on with a pale face. That was when she saw him let go of the arrow and the heads pointed at her then they zoomed at her. She dodged and then sent a blast at him. It stopped before it even got anywhere near him.

At this she bit her lip. Soon she raced at him. She saw a ball of fire. She dodged. She saw an ice stake. She dodged. She saw the stake of rock. She dodged.

She was only just in front of him when she threw a fist at him. He flicked her wrist and it flung away. She punched to the left. He did the same. They did this again and again and again only for him to stop each and every thrust. So she threw out a kick and he caught her ankle. Then he threw her up. She used her other foot to fling it into her chin.

Suddenly she heard a moan.

Ew!

Suddenly she felt creeped out as she landed. The next moment she felt a punch to the left and then the right and left again and right again. She then felt a kick in her gut. The next moment her body collided with the ground.

She looked down to see him coming at her. The next thing she felt the pain in her skin. Then, as he came closer and closer, his body seemed to fade.

“What-”

She looked down to see that her leg was broken and she cried out and looked at a scarlet faced Cerpheres.

“Cerpheres, I know that you’re awake!”

He hummed as he raised his body.

“What happened?”

“Guy was Gajellidor.”

“What?”

Cerpheres placed his hand on the skin.

“Looks like we’re getting closer!”

“What?”

“Why didn’t you do anything?”

He licked his lips slowly.

“What do you expect? I do love greatness after all!” He purred as he pointed at her. “And-and you did well against his opposition.”

He let out a laugh that made him look like he needed a little bit alone time.

“Honestly! I-I can’t wait to see what you do next!”

Yes, he needs a bit of alone time!

“Stop it!”

He licked his lips slowly with hunger in his eyes.

“Make me!”

“How do you handle travelling with him?”

“He’s the only healer.”

“Oh!”

After she was healed everyone woke and after a quick breakfast they marched on and on and on. Yet with another long nap and in three days in whole they left the other side of the cave on the morning of the third day they were soon on another shore.
