Strena The Voyage Part Two

 Relieved Revelations

“So what now?” Zaryb and Strena asked, wiping the last of their sleep out of their eyes. They all waited until they could focus their cloudy minds.

They spotted Bash, Chashathrophogh and Cerpheres close their eyes. At first, Strena was afraid that they had fallen back to sleep. Yet when they opened their eyes, they looked relieved.

“He’s still there.” Both Chashathrophogh and Bash sighed out of relief.

“But it’s been a year! Why would he still be there?” Strena asked.

“I don’t know. I guess we will find out when we get there.” He said, splashing his face with ice cold water.

“Anyway!” Yawned Chashathrophogh. “We need to go!”

So they all walked on, building their strength. Yet Strena, to her utter shock and confusion, noticed that Chashathrophogh looked cute when he yawned. She felt angry at herself for forgetting who he was, when she realized that. She, who did not like the fact that she was starting to notice the man had sternness to his handsome features.

So, this is what being a teenager is like….Well, in that case, I don’t like it! I don’t like it one bit!

Suddenly she was looking down, not wanting to look at any of the men. No, she had to remind herself that any one of them would kill her in a heartbeat. After all, if Grasharlo did not put the cuff on him, Chashathrophogh would not hesitate to kill her. She also knew that if Cerpheres did not see the greatness within her, he would kill her too.

She found herself trapped in between a whole host of emotions. Emotions that, she knew, she was not ready for. She wondered if that was part of being a teenager too.

“What are you thinking about?” Cerpheres purred in her ear.

With a scream she threw a punch at him as she jumped. He caught it and smiled.

“Aww! Is that your first blush?”

That was when she felt a ripple of shock.

“I’m what?”

He let out a chuckle.

“You’re so adorable.”

She jumped back and placed her hand on the hilts of her blades.

“Cerpheres, leave her alone!” Chashathrophogh sang.

“Oh? Why not?”

“You know why.” He snapped as he took Strena by the hand like a father would his child as they continued to walk on. “Zarry, could you walk near Cerpheres? If he starts to get anywhere near your niece then show him a bit of Wolfox.”

Then his face changed to the cruel one.

“Why should I?”

“What?”

“Oh! Didn’t he tell you? Me and the Prince Captain are very old friends. So why would I do anything of the sort?”

“Because I’d like it?”

“Exactly. After all, I do know your tastes.”

“Stop flirting you two!”

“Oh!”

“Spoiled sport!”

Chashathrophogh let out a groan.

They soon saw a tiny city up ahead. Then they saw a gang of thieves coming at them.

Oh great, a fight.

Then they all walked up to them and looked at all of them.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” One said as he looked at the group.

Then one looked at Strena and smiled.

“Ain’t she the famous Strena Azlok ain’t she?!”

“Yes.” 

He smiled as he licked his lips.

“You know if it was five hundred years ago, I could do anything to you?”

She smiled.

“I’m certain that you won’t!”

“And what makes you think that you have a choice? After all, I could easily buy you off your guardian.”

“No.” Zaryb snapped as he came close to her.

“Alright, not even for this?” 

“No.”

“Buf you didn’t even check!”

“Still no. Now move!”

“No. After all, I am-”

Zaryb slit his throat. Then another dove at the group. Strena pulled out her blades and two fell at her feet. Then Bash fired at two more and Chashathrophogh threw a few tiny daggers at the rest.

“Taught you well!”

“Not too well, I still missed.”

“You missed, dear Uncle?” Bash scoffed as she looked at the blades in the heads, nose and chests.

He smirked.

“I was aiming for the throat.”

“Is that a Philosopher’s Stone coin??!” Exclaimed Strena as she picked up a scarlet coin. 

“Yes..” Purred Cerpheres as he started raiding their pockets. 

“Good eye!” Chashathrophogh exclaimed.

“Then we should have no trouble with our supplies!”

Once they had taken all their things they moved on.
