Strena The Voyage Part Six
Taken Ship
It was late at night when Captain Loofahtuom woke up from his long nap. Which, for him, was quite unusual. After all, he never fell asleep on the wheel. No, the last thing that he remembered was sailing, then he felt a powerful and overwhelming tiredness overcome him like a tsunami. Yet he resisted the drowsiness, but, regardless of how much he tried, he could not resist it for long. After all, the tiredness became worse and worse and worse and more powerful. It built until his eyes closed and sleep overcame him.
Yet, all in all, the Navy should have killed the Prince Captain. Yes, there will be no pirates or rumoured pirates of the sort on his ship. Over his dead body he would tolerate something like that! Who knew what a troublesome man like that would bring?
“Good night Sir Captain!” Purred a voice in his ear.
He went to thrust a hand back as he looked back. He looked ahead in bewilderment as his eyes rested upon none other that the Prince Captain himself!
“What! You’re supposed to be dead!”
He let out a mocking chuckle.
“I’m dearly sorry but death will never take me!”
“And why is that?”
He opened his mouth.
“Cerpheres! What are you doing?”
“Deadling with a silly little nuisance. Nothing more! I promise!” He purred.
His eyes slid to Captain Loofahtuom.
“And why is he a nuisance?"
“He told the navy about me. Honestly! I had to kill both him and his crew!”
“‘Had to’? Oh please! I bet you enjoyed it and enjoyed it way too much!”
Cerpheres chuckled.
“What? Gonna stop me?”
He shrugged.
“No. Not at all! After all, as you said, he is a nuisance. So it would only be a matter of time until he told more about me, including my dear little sister and none of us wants to go back there. So, I’ll let you have your way with him just this once. Just don’t make the nuisance kill himself! I return, I will stand watch so that you can enjoy your little privacy.”
Atthis Cerpheres chuckled.
“I did choose wisely.” He purred.
He then shrugged.
“Looks like we have ourselves a deal.”
“What? Hold on. I know you! You’re Chashathrophogh Dragoncursefree! The Bastard Killer!”
“Yes. I am!”
“I must-”
“Shh.” Cerpheres whispered, putting a finger on his mouth.
“No!” He snapped as he pushed him away and saw the Prince Captain take out a knife.
Cerpheres let out a sigh.
“I love it when they fight back!”
He looked down and dived back. He pulled out his rapier as Cerpheres dived on. He flung it down and their blades met. Cerpheres pushed on against the Captain. He licked his lips, feeling slightly giddy.
“This had better be interesting.”
“What?” He snapped as he kicked him in the stomach. He dived at the Prince Captain causing him to go back.
“Good man!”
Not wanting to focus upon what he had just said, he dived to him. He went to slice the throat but he was blocked. He then hit him in the stomach again and charged on. He went to slice him again and again, but he blocked each and every one of them. Then he landed. He swung his blade to him, he blocked, then he flung a kick to his temple. This caused him to hit the deck.
Feeling a sense of satisfaction he let out a sigh. Then he felt him jab his foot in his shin and he fell on top of him. Then he felt a blade in his side. He then punched him and saw the drunken look on his smiling face. Then he pushed him off him. Then he looked down to the blood coming from his hip.
The only thing that kept him from feeling the whole force of the pain was the adrenaline rush as he staggered up.
Cerpheres ran up to him and slit his cheek. He then cut him but he blocked. The Captain felt the sweat building as he went to slit the Prince Captain’s throat but he flicked his head up as he swung out of the way and bellowed out a laugh. Then he cut up his throat. Captain Loofahtuom was relieved to notice that it was too shallow to cut off his air supply. Then he hit him in the head but he dodged out of the way and cut his forearm.
“Good! Good! Keep it up! Keep it up!”
He growled as he flicked his wrist to his temple only to find that he was not there. Suddenly he felt a deep slash in the back.
Quickly he spun around and hit him with the weight of the sword. He flicked his wrist in a circular motion and went to stab him in his throat. Then he felt another cut to his wrist.
“Come on! I know you can do better than that!”
Suddenly Captain Loofahtuom felt cold and his sweat did nothing to help either.
Why? Why am I feeling so cold? He thought as he felt another cut in his leg.
This caused more and more of his blood to spill. Then he felt another in the other leg. Soon he felt another and another and another and more and more of his blood fell. He felt colder and colder. Then with more cuts he noticed that his body was shaking and he fell to one knee. Then he felt a cut on his other cheek. He dropped his sword as he felt a cut across his chest.
I am going to die. I am going to die and there is nothing that I can do to stop it. He thought as he collapsed. Then the full force of the pain flared up revealing more cuts all over his body than the thought. Yet he was far too weak to cry out.
He heard him let out another sigh as he saw his red face and wide wild drunken smile as he panted. He felt despair sink in as he felt the Prince Captain’s breath on him.
“Fate can be so cruel! Can’t it?” He moaned before kissing him on the cheek.
He went completely cold as his last breath left him. Yet Cerpheres calmed down as his breath became slow and steady.
“Now-”
“Time to clean up!” Cerpheres and Chashathrophogh spoke, one whimsically and the other was more of an order.
Cerpheres looked at the man and playfully chuckled. Soon all traces of the Captain vanished alone with all the blood.
“Is that what happened to Phydoc?”
His sly smile spread.
“On second thought, don’t answer that!”
“Alright!” He sang as he played the violin. Soon everyone else woke up and the passengers walked up to the small boats and climbed into them. They were all on the ocean rowing to their destinations, most made it.
Then Strena woke. The ship was almost empty. The only ones that were left were Chashathrophogh, Bash, Cerpheres and Zaryb.
“Wh-where is everyone?”
“Oh! They had to get off the ship.”
“And the Captain?”
“He snitched so he had to get stitched! So the ship is ours, my dear! Now come on, let’s explore this ship.”
So that’s what they did.
