The Weather Incarnates Gathering
Part One
Snow
In a remote village in the countryside somewhere off the beaten
track in Britain that went by the name of Antiwetter, was a hidden
girl. Her eyes, hair and skin was all white, right down to her lips
almost making it difficult to see where each began and the other
ended. She always knew that she should keep hidden but was never told
why, not even her ants and uncles knew of her existence. None knew
that she was even born, even her mother's death, giving birth to her
was kept hidden and her father told everyone she died giving birth to
a still born.
The reason that she was being hidden from the world was because
this village had gods, the Weatherless, who were looking for her.
They knew that she was going to be born in that village, even-though
they did not know to who or where. They hated what she was and the
reason; her previous incarnation brought snow to their planet without
weather, when she was born to them. This caused them to travel to
Earth to find her and the other weather incarnates. They were able to
use their powers to convince those of this isolated village that they
were ancient gods and that the weather incarnates were the enemies of
mankind.
This girl was one of the weather incarnates, Snow thus that was
what she was called. Her full name, Snow Winters. Her father was a
doctor when he was out leaving her in the house by herself where she
would play and train for hours until he came back. When he was there
at home they would play and spa just in the case she was found out.
He then gave her lessons on maths, English and science. He then made
sure that she had intelligence that meant that when she was an adult
she would be ready to get a job and a career.
She grew up in a good environment despite her circumstances and
had a good child hood, then everything changed when she was fifteen
years old. She looked out of the window to see snow falling. It may
have been light at first but this was the first time she had seen it.
She felt a giddy emotion rise in her then the snow became heavier and
heavier. She felt herself smiling as it sat on the ground. Then she
looked down realising that she was too close to the window. She
stepped back as she saw a man in the distance.
I
hope he didn't see me...
She felt herself gulp. Nothing happened for another week until
her father ran into her room and shook her awake. Then she was he
quickly got her dressed in a white dress that seemed to look grey
next to her skin and he then gave her a rucksack. Then came the
banging snapping the girl awake. She saw the fire in the windows as
snow fell. She then felt her breath quickening as something broke.
Her father led her to the cellar where there was nothing there
apart from a big round door. Her father took out his keys and
unlocked the door. He then shoved her through and looked at her dead
in the eye.
“Snow, they are after you, and you are one of the Weather
Incarnates. They worship aliens known as the Wetherless, who all want
you and the others dead. So go and find the others.” he said as he
closed the door. “And don't come back!”
“Why, why...Dad!” she shouted as she banged against the
door. She then heard her father bang back.
“Get out of here girl!”
Snow fell back and scrambled as she ran down the tunnel. She
ran and ran until she collapsed from exhaustion she then found
herself crying. She woke up without remembering when she fell asleep.
She then got to her feet and ran until she came out of the tunnel.
She could see the village in the far off distance.
