The Wrong Princess
Once upon a time there was a kingdom with a king, who wanted to find a prince for his daughter the Princess. One day he sent out his Knight, Sir Folied, to go out and look for one.
Sir Folied searched and searched far and wide for one, but he could not find one. He then came across a kingdom who held claim to having one, however, he had mysteriously disappeared when he was a child.
Promising to find him he came to an aged wizard, who was both skilled and powerful in his arts. He sat down and let the knight explain his predicament and listened intently.
"Well kind sir, I can help you in your quest. I know where the prince lies, however he is guarded by a fierce and powerful dragon. Aye, a dragon even more powerful than I, with all of my magic, I am afraid to admit! Do not despair though, for I think that together we can vanquish this foe." He explained.
"However I think that it is important for your princess to come and bare witness for what we are about to do. It will not work with out her."
So the knight sent for the princess and they came to the wizard. The three of them approached the layer of the dragon.
They waited until the dragon revealed himself before the knight struck. The wizard used his magic to keep the dragon pinned to the ground. The knight raised his sword and with one swing the dragon's head rolled off.
This was when a curious thing happened. The dragon's body began to shrink in size. The scales smoothed out and became flesh. The wings shrank into his body and to the Knight's and the princess's horror the dragon turned into a human being!
Then behind them they heard the sound of evil laughter that would give a deaf man a headache. It suddenly felt colder like they were in the dawn of winter. The knight looked back in a confused angry state.
"Oh, you are foolish Sir Folied and you too little princess! I cannot believe that I could have tricked you so easily!" The wizard laughed.
"What is it? What is going in? Why did the dragon turn into a human boy?" The princess asked her eyes also ablaze. The wizard laughed as he pointed a bony crooked finger at the knight.
"Do you not see it with your own eyes? I tricked your knight, Sir Folied, into killing the only prince left in the land and all the Knigs and Queens of the land ate now far too old to conceive any more children! Now my vengeance is complete! There will be no more pure roil households and the only one with that that is left is none other than I. Unfortunately for you I can never marry for the nature if my birth denied me that!" He laughed as the knight swung his sword and another head rolled off, however his death made little difference. He had won and there was nothing that anyone could do to change that. The roil households and their bloodlines would all come to an end eventually.
However, it was not the Knight's fault, it was the princess, for the right princess would have seen through the evil wizard's scheme and would have killed him there and then before the knight had any time to think or react. Unfortunately this was not that princess for this princess was the wrong princess.
