Bounty Hunter Bash Unlocked Part Twelve

 A Stolen Potion

It was three days after they arrived. Bash’s left eye had become completely white, yet she could still see through it yet both eyes had a strange look of hunger. Yet she noticed that every time she used her magic, even with the smallest amount, she would feel a dark joy that scared her. However, even though she should have said something, she did not want to hold the team back from anything. Especially Zaryb and Strena from being free.

The moment that they saw them, Askook his and they all ran on and on and on. Bash caught glimpses of him going from bush to bush, rock to rock, tree trunk to tree trunk. Both Bash and Chashathrophogh drew their bows and reached a cliff face. They loaded their bows to see that, even though they were too late in stopping the potion being made, they could use it for their own purposes. As long as they could get it.

Quickly they fried at them. Chashathrophogh fired two arrows at Gajellidor and Bash fired at Grasharlo. One hit her shoulder and they looked up as the next set was just about to hit. Quickly they dived out of the way as the arrow skimmed Gajellidor’s arm. Then they saw more coming at them and they had to run out of the way as more came. They both ran in zigzags but Bash could see where they were going and fired at her, landing another arrow in Grasharlo’s shoulder. Yet Chashathrophogh was only able to skim the man.

“Leaving you behind dear Uncle!”

“Shut up! I’ll get an arrow in him!”

Then he struck the hand and let out a cheer. Yet Gajellidor looked down and pulled it out and the next moment the wound had closed.

Why? Well, he is Carpheres’s father!

He then looked up and looked directly at them. Yet they stayed in place as they fired more and more arrows at them. They stopped the arrows. The next moment they fired them at them as they used their magic to push the arrows on. Yet Bash felt that dark giddy joy watching her chuckle slightly as they continued to do this. She felt that dark joy rising and rising. She could feel her body shaking as she was scared that she was on the verge of getting addicted to this wild feeling. Yet she had to stop, only to look up to see that they were still looking at them. They looked at her with a smirk of victory in their eyes.

Then they vanished in smoke. The two frowned and she looked at Chashathrophogh. His eyes told her to keep her guard up. The next thing that she saw was the smoke riding between them. Quickly they dived back and fired at the smoke. Only for the arrows to fall down.

Chashathrophogh caught the glimpse of Azkook dropping down and then went to run.

Then Zaryb and Strena threw tiny daggers at the smoke and they fell down too. Then they appeared. They threw more and then they fell down as the duo looked on to see them running. They were eclipsed by smoke again and they appeared ahead of them. They raised their hands as the tiny daggers reached them and dropped.

Bash and Chashathrophogh ran on. Smoke appeared, the daggers were thrown, they got further on. They repeated this dance again and again and again and again until Bash felt a hand around her throat. She looked into the eyes of Grasharlo.

“Over did it, did you?” She purred slightly.

She flicked her arrow to her throat. Yet pain flooded throughout her body. It almost blinded her mind. She tried to hit her to stop but the pain stopped her from moving! She felt it sink on deeper in her flesh. It was as if the pain was in her bone marrow. She found herself screaming and soon she felt angry and she willed her to stop and felt that dark joy.

No. Stop it! Stop it!

She then saw the smile on Grasharlo’s mouth as she pushed more fire at her. She laughed as she dodged out of the way. She went to draw her bow, only to see that it was on the ground. She went to get it, until she saw a lightning ball in front of her and pulled out and she dived back. She hit the ground hard.

She got up and looked at Grasharlo with a wicked smile on her lips as she summoned another lightning ball. Then threw it at her. She dived out of the way. She threw another and another and another. She was able to dodge each and every one of them.

Then tiny daggers flung at her then dropped as she raised her eyebrow nonchalantly, shrugged and sent a ball of fire at him. Then raised her hands and a ring of Olympic blue light rose up around them.

“There! Now we can’t have any interruptions!”

She looked at the end of the ring to see flies vanished before some moved on. A ball of fire went to the barrier and it bounced off!

She looked back to see a ball of lightning in front of her. Then it pulsed and she flew in the air. Then she saw a ball of green fire come at her. She ran out of the way, only to see a ball of lightning in front of her. She flung back. The moment that she landed, the action repeated and repeated and repeated, again and again and again and Bash felt her anger rising within her, each and every time she landed.

“Come on! Fight back!” The witch laughed minically.

She looked for her bow, only to see that it was on the other side of the ring. She closed her eyes in dread as she knew that there would be only one way to fight back. Yet she saw the ball of fire as she dived out of the way. She saw more balls of fire coming at her. She ducked only to see a row of lightning balls coming at her! The next thing she felt herself being flung in the air and landed at the edge.

She looked back at the bow and back at the witch. She reached out but the bow would not move. She tried again and again and again but the bow did not move, yet she could feel that dark joy rising within her.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!

She turned back to her, knowing that, with dread, she would have to fight with magic. She felt the dark joy as she summoned a ball of fire, which was purple and threw it at her. She blocked as she flung a wall of fire in front of her. She had to use her magic to divide the fire and she charged on and threw another ball of fire. She threw out a ball of lightning, one after another. She could feel the dark joy increasing. She then saw another wave of fire. She divided it again then she was hit by more lightning balls. She did this again and again and again as she ran closer and closer. Suddenly her mind was wild with the dark joy that reached her.

She grabbed her throat and an idea entered her mind. A thought that she would have never had if she was sober minded.

I want her to feel the pain that she had put me through. No, I want her to feel the pain that she put Zaryb through. That she put Strena through and everyone else she has hurt!

Then she drove this directly into her. She cried out in pain. She felt good as she drove more and more of every experience into her that she had caused. She could feel the dark joy like an inferno in her mind. She felt a sickening satisfaction in hearing the screams.

Then she felt a hand on her stomach and she was flying back. The next moment her back hit a tree. She slumped over. Then she looked up at Chashathrophogh as he looked at her with concern and she was suddenly struck with fear of herself.

“Bash!”

She looked up and remembered what she should do. She quickly scrambled to her bow and realized that she was out of the ring. She looked at Grasharlo on the ground laughing and laughing. Then she looked at Gajellidor and quickly scrambled to her feet and ran. He looked at Grasharlo and both father and daughter’s smile widened as he too burst out laughing as they all ran and ran. The Dark Lord chased after them, yet they were able to keep ahead of him. Yet Bash felt cold but she kept going, not daring to stop.

Then Leonardo threw a ball of cotton at him and Chashathrophogh set it on fire. Gajellidor pushed it back as they got further and further away. More tiny daggers headed towards him. They soon dropped to the ground. Then they jumped down the cliff face to a small waterfall. Chashathrophogh spun and willed the water at him. He was blasted in front of them. Yet they felt themselves hit the water harder than they ought to.

Then they went to swim up only to see the surface of the water freeze up. By the time that they reached the top the whole surface was completely ice. He willed the ice to melt but she could tell that his magic was too strong. She narrowed her eyes as she too joined in and willed it to melt too. Then the dark joy returned. She could feel Gajellidor pushing against them. So they pushed on and she could feel the dark joy rising and rising but she had to push it down. She tried to stop herself from giving into the dark joy as she pushed on and on and on. Then the ice shattered.

They gasped as roots rose up and started to whip his shins, giving them the opening to get to the edge of the body of water and got out and flipped on to the grass.

Bash loaded her bow and fired at him and skimmed his chest. He looked at her with utter fury. Yet she fired at him again and again and again as she felt weaker and weaker. She started panting as he came closer and closer to her. In desperation she used her magic to will him away from her and closed her eyes. Her energy hit rock bottom. Her eyes opened and he was gone!

“Is-is Grasharlo gone too?” She asked.

“Yes my dear. She disappeared when she noticed that you were gone.”

“Did she say anything?”

“Oh please older brother! Why should I go after her? She’s going to be one of us. Give it a few years or so, and she’ll be ours. Stay watching her! After all, within ten years, she will be another Dark Lady, just like me!”

“Only ramblings of an eccentric!”

“Oh!” She slumped over. “Good!”

She was soon asleep.
