The Weather Incarnates Gathering
Part Three
Cloud and Rain
Cloud and Rain were twin brothers who lived in a small village
named Dragon's Cave which was on the side of a mountain. It had only
one mixed school and one cobbled main road. The conjoined houses were
painted white with wood painted white and the roof were all thatched.
Their doors were all white blue with a circular iron door knobs
painted black.
When their parents moved to Dragon's Cave, they thought that
they had stepped into another time until they walked into their
house. Which looked more spacious than it was with white plastic
three pronged plug holes. It had hardly taken them long to unpack and
made the house theirs. Then they came next.
Their parents were shocked when they were born for both were
born with their hair. Hair that was completely natural but completely
abnormal for one had silver-grey hair and the other baby blue and
then, when their eyes opened their eyes were identical to the colour
of their hair. They did not know why but they called the one with
silver-grey hair Cloud and the one with the baby blue hair Rain.
This caused them to become the heart of bullying as they grew
regardless of how much they kept themselves to themselves. Some
teachers sometimes looked down at them, thinking that they dyed their
hair. Then there was the oddity that when the two felt emotional it
would become cloudy or it would rain regardless of the season or the
weather man said. Then, in Rain's case it would rain regardless if
there was a cloud in the sky.
When they were trying to keep away from their bullies they had
found a small but deep cave. The moment that they entered the mouth
of the cave their bullies faces went pale and ran away. As the months
went on they made a den of the cave. They took an old setae and
fridge there filled with cans of pepsi, coke, coffee and energy
drinks, for drinks and yorkies, coffee and toffee yogurt, rice and
chocolate moose for food. They knew by the reactions of their bullies
that they would never get stolen. They had also noticed that the cave
was always heated.
They once had investigated why this was, and found out that
there was a legend that a dragon was living in the cave. They had
shortly found out after that that all of the other people who lived
in Dragon's Cave believed in it. Knowing better they never left and
everyone left them alone calling them guarded by the dragon.
It was on these days that their world changed completely.
“Rain, do you think Mrs Ariella believes in the dragon?” he
asked.
“No, she maybe called; the Witch of the West, but she's not
like the others.” Cloud replied brushing back his hair which
flicked back into his eyes. Being slightly annoyed by the pain in his
eyes. He slid his fringe out of his watery eyes.
“Are you Cloud and Rain?” called a man out the mouth. They
looked at him.
“Yeah!” Cloud called back mimicking his tone.
“Who're you?” Rain called.
“Right lads!” he called as two other people ran in and
grabbed them both. They pulled back as their trainers slipped.
Suddenly they were out of the cave. Immediately they were looking
into the black hole of the gun with one. Cold eyes with the other
like a mirror. The man walked up to the twins and placed both hands
on their shoulders.
“Well, that was easy. Sorry kids you're going to have to go!”
he sang cheerily as his grip increased in pressure. They looked at
each other in alarm their thoughts identical wondering what was going
on and why was these men wanting to kill them? They knew that they
could not be parents of their bullies for their faces were new. From
their accents they must have been from the same village as Mrs
Ariella.
“And I wouldn't worry about mummy and daddy. They're already
dead!” he laughed. They looked at him with wide eyes.
“Who are you?” They cried.
“The leader of this division lad. Now.” he let go of their
shoulders as they pulled back the hammers at the same time. Then,
bang, bang! Cloud and Rain closed their eyes. Blood flowed down from
their heads. They felt no pain. They dared to open their eyes only to
see the men that held their guns dead. They screamed realising they
were sat in their blood. They panted and their bodies shook.
“So, it's you, mother and grandmother of the apocalypse.”
“I am no such thing.” came an old woman's voice. BANG! The
twins dared to look back to see an old woman with grey hair tied back
in a bun with a long yellow dress with golden angled lace on top,
almost like forked lightning. Her eyes were watery blue.
“You must be the incarnation of rain and cloud.” she said
with a voice filled with authority and care. They just looked at her
in horror. She pulled them up and pulled them in. “It's alright
children. You're safe now.”
She could feel the twins trembling in her hands. She then took
them back to hers to clean the boys up.
