Three Things

Clara was a lonely farm girl who had no family. Her patents and brother had died long before she became an adult. She had no friends for she worked day in and day out, diligently on her farm. She longed for the touch of another human every time she tended to the animals and would occasionally cry herself to sleep.
One day, on her twenty fifth birthday, a man came to her village. He then approached her farm, Clara looked at him and was taken back by his rich flamboyant clothes. His face had such perfect features and angles that it messed with her mind. He was clean too, which amazed her for she had not seen such a cleanness to anyone in her life!
"Might you be farmer Clara Workload?" He asked.
"Yes!" She said startled then got hold of herself and remembered to curtsy. "I am she."
"Well I am to take you on to Heaven." He said.
"But I am not dead! I can't die for whatever will come if the animals in my care?" She asked shocked and disturbed at his words. He let out a playful laugh.
"I fear you misunderstand! I am here to take you to Heaven for only a day and there you can take three things from there. And only three things."
With that he let a hand on her shoulder and took her away to Heaven. When there were there he disappeared, leaving her to wonder on her own. The place was in all ways beautiful and the rode that she stood on was made if the purest hold Clara ever laid eyes on! She was taken back by the sight and wondered if she was dreaming as she walked down it.
Soon she spotted a woman plowing the most cleanest field she had ever seen and the woman was also just as clean. It was as if she was not even working. Her hair was golden and her grey eyes showed no tiredness. Soon Clara found that the woman at a closer look seemed familiar and soon she knew why.
"Mother?" She asked as she looked back and nodded and followed her onwards.
They then came across a crowd and Clara's eyes dropped on a boy that looked just like her, however he, just like her mother was impeccably clean. She turned to her mother.
"Who is that?" She asked pointing at him.
"That is Carl, your twin that died before either of you were born." She explained as Carl walked up to  them. Then after their introduction the three of them went on.
"Mother, where is father?" She asked.
"I will take you to him." Her mother told her. She took them to a blacksmith's workshop where a muscular man sat hammering away at a sword. He looked a lot like Clara and Carl but his jawline was wider and strong. He looked up and, as if he already knew what was going on he followed them in silence.
They then came across a rose garden on the way home. The leaves on all were so alive and vivid and emerald green and the red roses were like crimson cherries. She was so taken back by the whole garden that she was amazed that such a beautiful garden could exist! When she looked close she quickly noticed that the bush and the leaves had no thorn or spike.
Knowing that the rest of the village would not believe that here eyes laid eyes on such a sight she picked one. She then slid it in her hair and they then came before the gates to the world of the  living. Then the doors opened. Clara felt a buzz of excitement knowing that she was not going to be alone any more and that she had her family back.
When she stepped through she felt her hair drop and when she raised her fingers to the rose she could feel that it was turning into something. When she looked down to see what it was, to her horror she spotted that it was dust! Then when she looked back she spotted that her mother, her father, and her brother was missing!
Why? Why are they gone? They were eight behind me so how can they be gone? Did that man trick me? She asked herself. No. It was that you had taken four things when you should have taken only three.
